The West End revival of Eugene O’Neill’s Long Day’s Journey Into Night will play ten weeks at Wyndham’s Theatre beginning January 27, 2018, and continuing through April 7 before transferring to Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Harvey Theater (May 8–27) and the Wallis Annenberg Center for Performing Arts in Los Angeles (June 8–July 1).

As previously reported, Oscar and Tony winner Jeremy Irons and Lesley Manville will head the cast of Richard Eyre’s acclaimed Bristol Old Vic production.

The two will be joined by Jessica Regan, who will return to the role of Cathleen that she played in the 2016 Bristol Old Vic staging, with Matthew Beard and Rory Keenan, who join the company as Edmund Tyrone and James Tyrone Jr., respectively.

Set in the Tyrones’ summer home in August 1912, the O'Neill classic is described as such: “Haunted by the past but unable to face the truth of the present, the Tyrones and their two sons test the bonds of a family caught in the cycle of love and resentment. As day turns to night and the family indulge in their vices, the truth unravels leaving behind a quartet of ruined lives.”

The production will have set and costume design by Rob Howell, lighting design by Peter Mumford, and sound design by John Leonard.
