Casting Announced for American Scrapbook: A Celebration of Verse, Part of John F. Kennedy Celebration Complete casting has been announced for the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts' production of American Scrapbook: A Celebration of Verse, which will play the Family Theater Jan. 29-Feb. 6.

Commissioned by the Kennedy Center as part of The Presidency of John F. Kennedy: A 50th Anniversary Celebration, the hour-long play is based on two collections of poetry selected by Caroline Kennedy: "The Best-Loved Poems of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis" and "A Family of Poems: My Favorite Poetry for Children." With script by Jason Williamson and direction by Kathleen Amshoff, this production for young audiences, according to press notes, "leads a journey through the touchstones of the Kennedy family." The play is recommended for audiences aged nine and up.

The cast features Tonya Beckman Ross, Kate Debelack, Paige Hernandez, Matthew McGloin, Tony Nam, Michael Russotto and Theodore M. Snead. The production also includes set design by Dan Conway, costume design by Kathleen Geldard, lighting design by Andrew Cissna and sound design by Elisheba Ittoop.
