News Casting Announced for Eek, The Mousical Casting has been announced for EEK, The Mousical, which begins previews Jan. 27 at Joria Productions Mainstage in Manhattan.

Directed by John DeBlass with choreography by Maria Zannieri and music direction by Danielle Erin Rhodes, the cast will also feature Michael Sazonov as Charles, The Country Dad; Marcia Sofley as Caroline, The Country Daughter; Toni Stanton as Bara, The City Mom; Marcus Conerly as Brad, The City Dad; Melissa Robinette as Brianna, The City Daughter; and Emily Coffin as Ben, The City Son. (Donna Vivino, whose Broadway credits include Les Miserables, Hairspray and Martin Short Fame Become Me as well as the national tour of Wicked, has withdrawn from the cast.) EEK, The Mousical was written by FACT artistic director Jack Dyville. The musical, according to press notes, "takes the classic Aesop Fable and makes it contemporary. A City Mom wants a little peace and quiet at the dinner table away from the screeching traffic, cell phones and texting. She accepts an invitation for her family to visit her sister in the country where they have to go through a cultural adjustment. The city mice are not keen on sewing circles, crawdad fishing and Hard Red Spring Wheat Pageants and each family gets to learn a bit about how the other group lives. This is all done through high spirited songs, dance and quick paced dialogue."

Joria Productions Mainstage is located at 260 West 36th Street, 3rd Floor. Tickets are $18 adults, $9 children; discounts TDF $9. For tickets call (800) 838-3006.
