News Casting Announced for Los Angeles tick, tick . . . BOOM! Wilson Cruz, Andrew Samonsky and Tami Tappan Damiano will star in the Los Angeles premiere of tick, tick . . . BOOM! at the Coronet Theatre.

The limited engagement of the Jonathan Larson music will play the West Hollywood venue June 8-July 16. Scott Schwartz will direct the production, which will feature choreography by Christopher Gattelli and musical direction by Brent Crayon.

The creative team also includes Jeremy Pivnick (lighting design), Drew Dalzell (sound design) and Alex Jaeger (associate costume design).

tick, tick . . . BOOM! is an autobiographical piece by the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer of Rent, the late Jonathan Larson. It features book, music and lyrics by Larson; David Auburn was script consultant. The original Off-Broadway company featured Raúl Esparza, Amy Spanger and Jerry Dixon.

Wilson Cruz appeared in the Off-Broadway production, West Coast premiere and national tour of tick, tick . . . BOOM! as well as the Los Angeles and Broadway companies of Rent. He may be best known for his work on the TV series "My So Called Life"; his other screen credits include "Ally McBeal," "Party of Five," "ER," "The West Wing," "Supernova," "Nixon," "Johns," "All Over Me" and "Joyride."

Andrew Samonsky also starred in the West Coast premiere of tick, tick . . . BOOM! at the Rubicon Theatre and was part of the cast of Disney's On the Record tour. His regional credits include Forever Plaid, Into the Woods and Smokey Joe's Cafe. He has also been seen on TV's "Guiding Light." Tami Tappan Damiano has appeared on Broadway in Miss Saigon and Cyrano: The Musical. She received a Helen Hayes Award for her performance in the Washington, DC production of John Guare's Lydie Breeze, and her other theatrical credits include Lemon Sky, A Chorus Line and Swing!. Television audiences have seen Damiano on "The Drew Carey Show," "Third Rock from the Sun" and "Sunset Beach."
