Featuring a score by Brett Schrier, with book and lyrics by Catherine Doherty, the premiere production of Take Two will run through May 17 under the direction of Brooke Ciardelli. The musical officially opens April 24.
Take Two, according to press notes, "follows two men and two women as they jump back into the dating world after each has lost his or her 'true love.' From tender moments of new self-awareness to internet dating disasters and laugh-out-loud social predicaments, Take Two appeals to anyone who has ever dipped a toe into the swirl of the search for love."
The cast features Petrotta (A Tale of Two Cities), McDowell (Rent), Drew Taylor (Sweet Smell of Success) and Mary Gutzi (Les Miserables, Ragtime).
The cast and creators of the musical will also offer an insider's look at rehearsals of the world-premiere production with a live web broadcast on April 16 at 7 PM. The live broadcast will be available by visiting TakeTwoMedia.
