News Casting Announced for NYC Production of Hello, Dolly!, Featuring Cast of Amas Academy Teens Amas Musical Theatre's Rosetta LeNoire Musical Theatre Company will present the Tony Award-winning musical Hello, Dolly!, featuring a cast of young performers from the Amas Teen Academy, May 3-12 at The LABA Theatre at the 14th Street Y.

Directed by Christopher Scott with choreography by Monica Johnson and musical direction by Sam Wilmott, the cast includes Amas Academy members Briana Barber (15, Manhattan), Brianna Carmichael (16, Brooklyn), Arena Cross (16, Brooklyn), Chetina Harris (14, Bed-Stuy), Henry Houghton (19, Hell's Kitchen), Adelaide Jenkins (16, Union Square), Ben Miller (Montclair, NJ), Sheika Murray (16, Maplewood, NJ), Sierra Nelson (17, Cortlandt Manor), Jewell Noel (19, Brooklyn), Andrew Odnoralov (14, Hell's Kitchen), Martin Perez, (14, The Bronx), Aspenne Rhoden (16, West Hempstead), Michelle Richards (15, Brooklyn), Isabella Rivera, (14, Upper West Side), Quiana Stowe (16, Rockville Center), Kayla Velez (15, the Bronx) and Emily Viega (14, Harlem).

In Hello, Dolly!, according to Amas, "the cantankerous Horace Vandergelder hires matchmaker Dolly Levi to find him a wife. Dolly soon hatches a plan to woo and win Vandergelder's hand herself, while simultaneously arranging romantic prospects for his niece, his clerks and two of Manhattan’s most eligible shop girls."

Based on the "The Matchmaker" by Thornton Wilder, Hello, Dolly! features a book by Michael Stewart and a score by Jerry Herman.

Other members of the creative team include Graham W.S. Yeager (lighting design), Dustin Cross (costume design), Josh Iacovelli (set design/production supervisor) and Meghan Fisher (stage manager).

The Academy, named after famed actress Rosetta LeNoire, has been in operation since the 1970s. The students receive training in the performing arts from established theatre professionals. Classes include acting technique, dance and movement, and music, including theory, training and vocal technique. Special adjunct faculty members provide periodic workshops on a variety of subjects.
