News Casting Announced for Reading of Jack Gindi's Best Friends An industry reading of Jack Gindi's Best Friends will be presented Nov. 16 at Theatre 54 inside Shetler Studios.

Directed by David Glenn Armstrong, this four-person contemporary comedy/drama will star Josh Adam Davis, Sarah Nedwek, Graham Powell and Leah Wagner.

"All best friends have a code. Whatever steps you take in life – your best friend’s got your back," said playwright Gindi in a statement. "Sometimes you stumble - like when a pretty French girl – your dream girl - blows into town and knocks you off your feet. She wears heels. You never knew life could be so great. You also never knew your best friend likes heels..."

"It’s a joy to dig deep into Jack’s brutally biting and darkly salacious play," added director Armstrong. "I love his ‘take-no-prisoners’ approach to telling this hysterical and out-of-control tale of the revolving door known as ‘friendship’ in the downtown hip environs of New York City."

Shana Solomon is the associate director. Adam Bashian will read stage directions.
