Directed by DJ Salisbury, the Florida production will feature Jennifer Byrne, James Ludwig, Kevin Spirtas and Kristen Beth Williams.
Closer Than Ever, according to Riverside, is an "intimate, insightful musical revue about love, happiness, aging, and life's challenges. With some of the most sophisticated and inventive songs ever written about people and relationships, these melodies are based on real life experiences and stories as told through the music and lyrics of David Shire and Richard Maltby, Jr."
The production will also have music direction by Brent Frederick, scenic design by Allen D. Cornell, lighting design by Rebecca Franklin, costume design by Emily Baldwin and sound design by Craig Beyrooti. Audrey M. Brown is the stage manager.
In other news, the Riverside Theatre’s production of South Pacific has been extended. Originally scheduled to close March 9, performances will now continue through March 16 due to ticket demand. The classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical stars David Pittsinger (Emile de Becque) and Heather Botts (Nellie Forbush).
Tickets for both productions can be purchased by calling the Box Office at (772) 231-6990 or online at www.riversidetheatre.com.
