Regional News Casting Announced for The Coast Starlight at La Jolla Playhouse The Keith Bunin world premiere begins performances August 20.

Casting has been announced for the world premiere of Keith Bunin’s The Coast Starlight, which begins performances August 10 for a run through September 15 at La Jolla Playhouse. The production will officially open August 25.

Tyne Rafaeli will direct a cast that features Mia Barron as Liz, Camila Cano-Flavia as Jane, Rhys Coiro as Noah, Nate Mann as T.J., Stephanie Weeks as Anna, and Rob Yang as Ed.

Bunin’s play centers on a group of strangers traveling on The Coast Starlight, a long-distance train from Los Angeles to Seattle, as each of them searches to find a way forward in their own lives.

The creative team includes scenic designer Arnulfo Maldonado, costume designer Denitsa Bliznakova, lighting designer Lap Chi Chu, and sound designer Daniel Kluger.

Bunin’s works also include The Busy World Is Hushed, The Credeaux Canvas, The Unbuilt City, and 10 Million Miles.
