News Casting Announced for White Christmas at West Yorkshire Playhouse in Leeds While White Christmas, a stage version of the 1954 Irving Berlin film musical of the same name, is to be presented at the West End's Dominion Theatre this Christmas season, a different production of the same title will also be presented at the West Yorkshire Playhouse, beginning performances Nov. 24 for a run through Jan. 17, 2015.

Nikolai Foster will direct a cast of 17 led by Darren Day and Oliver Tompsett as entertainers Bob Wallace and Phil Davis, respectively, with Helen Anker and Holly Dale Spencer as the Haynes sisters.

Day's previous musical theatre credits include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Grease, Copacabana, Summer Holiday, Carousel and We Will Rock You.

Tompsett was in the original London cast of Wicked. Other West End credits include Our House, Mamma Mia!, We Will Rock You and Rock of Ages.

Anker, who is currently living and working in the U.S., where her Broadway credits have included Promises, Promises and Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis, returns to the U.K. to appear in Leeds. Her previous West End credits include Oklahoma!, Fame and Cats.

Spencer was last seen in American Psycho at the Almeida. Her West End credits include Crazy for You, Betty Blue Eyes and Oliver!; she has also appeared in tours of Mary Poppins, High Society and Anything Goes. The principals are joined by an ensemble of 13 comprising Melanie La Barrie, Andrew Jarvis, James Darch, Kirby Hughes, Lucy Williamson, Michelle White, Moyo Akande, Robbie Boyle, Samuel Holmes, Sion Tudor Owen, Frankie Jenna, Simon Anthony and Matthew Hawksley.

The creative team also includes choreographer Nick Winston, designer Matthew Wright and new musical arrangements by Jason Carr.
