Joining Hairspray's Bruce Vilanch and Frankenstein's Christiane Noll are Burke Moses (Beauty and the Beast, The Fantasticks), Annaleigh Ashford (Legally Blonde), Tiffany Westlie and Jamie LaVerdiere ( The Pirate Queen). Tim Bennett will direct the reading of Big Fat Cat, featuring a score by Mimi le Duck composer Brian Feinstein and book and lyrics by Robin Moyer Chung. Chris Fenwick serves as musical director.

"On her 37th birthday, Terry, a lonely but talented anklet maker desperately wishes on an anklet for a man to give her life meaning," press notes state. "Her wish comes true - well, sort of... Instead of the perfect man, she gets Big Fat Cat - a stray overweight feline with lousy manners, questionable values, and a potent fixation on catnip and cream. BFC takes a reluctant Terry on a journey of self-discovery through a colorful world that includes self-obsessed co-workers, an eligible bachelor, his nebbish best friend and the overrated concept of wishing. Big Fat Cat is for everyone who has wished upon that star and then regretted it for the rest of their lives."

Big Fat Cat was previously presented by the New York Theatre Barn on Oct. 22 featuring Julie Tolivar, Ben Howe, Mark Montague, Jillian Louis, Jennifer Montague and Randy Blair.

The by-invitation-only reading of Big Fat Cat will take place Dec. 7 at Ripley-Grier Studios in Manhattan. For more information visit www.nytheatrebarn.org.
