News Casting Complete for Music Circus' The Producers Starring Gary Beach Playbill.com has learned complete casting for Mel Brooks' Tony-winning The Producers, the first of the seven musicals that comprise the famed Music Circus season at the Wells Fargo Pavilion in Sacramento, CA.

Directed by Glenn Casale with choreography by Dan Mojica, performances are scheduled for July 12-17.

The cast will be headed by Tony Award winner Gary Beach as Roger De Bris, the character he originated on Broadway and in the 2005 film; Bob Amaral as Broadway producer Max Bialystock; Matt Loehr as anxious accountant Leo Bloom; Bill Nolte as Franz Liebkind, a part he played on Broadway; Michael Paternostro as Carmen Ghia;  and Sarah Cornell as Ulla, a part she has played on Broadway and in Canada.

The ensemble will include Kim Arnett, Miki Berg, Elliott Bradley, Jenny Florkowski, Alexa Glover, Luke Hawkins, Michael Jablonski, Matthew Kilgore, Robin Masella, Ivory McKay, Jeffrey Pew, Lisa Rohinsky, Peyton Royal, Matthew Schneider, Diane Vincent and Merrill West.

Dennis Castellano is the musical director.

The Producers features a book by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan and music and lyrics by Brooks. The musical, according to press notes, "chronicles the hilarious adventures of washed-up Broadway producer Max Bialystock and his mild-mannered accountant Leo Bloom, as they scheme to get rich quick by producing the most notorious flop in the history of showbiz. What they don't know is that after all their hard work, the musical ends up being a smash hit!" Song titles include "I Wanna Be a Producer," "When You Got It, Flaunt It," "Springtime for Hitler" and "Prisoners of Love." The Producers played 33 previews and 2,502 regular performances at Broadway's St. James Theatre March 2001-April 2007. The original cast boasted Nathan Lane, Matthew Broderick, Roger Bart, Gary Beach and Cady Huffman. The musical won 12 Tony Awards including Best Musical.

Jacquelyn Piro Donovan will belt out "As Long As He Needs Me" in the Music Circus production of Oliver! (July 19-24). Directed and choreographed by Richard Stafford, the production will also feature Ron Wisniski as Fagin.

The Cole Porter classic Anything Goes, which is currently enjoying a Tony-winning return to Broadway, will be seen at the Music Circus July 26-31. Marcia Milgrom Dodge will direct a cast that includes Vicki Lewis as Reno Sweeney, John Scherer as Lord Evelyn Oakleigh, David Elder as Billy Crocker and Jason Graae as Moonface Martin.

Camelot, which runs Aug. 2-7, will be directed by Glenn Casale with choreography by Dan Mojica choreographing. The cast will be led by Davis Gaines as King Arthur, Lisa O'Hare as Guenevere and Sean Hayden as Lancelot.

Beth Malone will portray the sharp-shooting Annie Oakley in the upcoming production of Irving Berlin's Annie Get Your Gun, which is scheduled for an Aug. 9-14 run. With Edward Watts as Frank Butler, the production will be directed by Gary John La Rosa and choreographed by John MacInnis.

Saying I Do! I Do! will be real-life couple Matthew Ashford and Christina Saffran Ashford as Michael and Agnes, respectively. Helmed by Emmy-nominated director Will Mackenzie, performances are scheduled for Aug. 16-21.

The season will conclude with Miss Saigon, which will run Aug. 23-28 and feature Eric Kunze as Chris, Ma-Anne Dionisio as Kim and Kevin Gray as The Engineer. Stafford Arima will direct the pop opera with choreography by Bob Richard.

The Music Circus season is presented by California Musical Theatre under the direction of executive producer Richard Lewis.
