News Casting Complete for Regent's Park Staging of Gigi Full casting has been announced for the upcoming stage version of Lerner and Loewe's classic screen musical Gigi, which will begin performances at The Open Air Theatre, Regent's Park, Aug. 6 with an official opening scheduled for Aug. 14.

Joining previously announced Chaim Topol (Fiddler on the Roof), Millicent Martin (Side by Side by Sondheim) and Lisa O'Hare (recently seen in a U.S. tour of My Fair Lady as Eliza Dolittle) will be Rachel Archer, Paul Bentley, Thomas Borchert, Jennie Dale, Nina French, Francis Haugen, Shaun Henson, David Lucas, Jo Morris, Zoe Rainey, Amy Ellen Richardson, Myra Sands, Laura Scott, Kate Tydman and Kerry Washington. The Open Air Theatre's incoming new artistic director, Timothy Sheader, directs with choreography by Stephen Mear (Mary Poppins in the U.K. and U.S., The Little Mermaid on Broadway).

Set against the Belle Époque of Paris, the show revolves around young Gigi (O'Hare) who breaks with convention when she captures the heart of a rich playboy. The score includes such numbers as "Thank Heaven for Little Girls" and "I Remember it Well."
