Jen Burleigh-Bentz will star as Queenie, the role originated Off-Broadway by Julia Murney, with David Anderson as Burrs. The company will also include Jodi Carmeli as Kate, Nancy Marvy as Madeline True, E. Mani Cadet as Sam, Benny S. Cannon as Eddie, Michelle Carter as Delores, Darius Ewing as Black, Michael Matthew Ferrell as Oscar, JP Fitzgibbons as Phil, Linda Talcott Lee as Mae, Jerry O. Parker as Max and Anna Roberts as Nadine. The ensemble comprises Raisa Ellingson, Tamara Kangas, Daryl Roth, Jessica W. Thompson and Tony Vierling.
The Wild Party, which runs at The Historic Fitzgerald Theatre, will begin previews March 11 with an official opening March 16. The limited engagement, co-produced by Andrew Rasmussen and Rob Laqui, will play through April 3.
The Wild Party debuted at Manhattan Theatre Club with a cast headed by Julia Murney, Brian d'Arcy James, Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel. Based on Joseph Moncure March's 1928 narrative poem about a violent, boozy 1920's party, the musical was directed by Gabriel Barre with choreography by Mark Dendy. That same season also saw another Wild Party, a Broadway version written by Michael John LaChiusa.
The Andrew Lippa score features such tunes as "Out of the Blue," "What a Party," "Raise the Roof," "Look at Me Now," "Poor Child," "An Old-Fashioned Love Story," "A Wild, Wild Party," "Two of a Kind," "Maybe I Like It This Way," "What Is it About Her?," "The Life of the Party," "Who is This Man?," "Listen to Me," "The Fight," "Come With Me," "How Did We Come to This?"
At the Fitzgerald Theatre (10 East Exchange Street), The Wild Party will play Wednesday through Saturday evenings at 8 PM, Sundays at 7:30 PM with matinees on Saturdays and Sundays at 2 PM.
