Broadway couple Hunter Foster and Jennifer Cody will, respectively, direct and choreograph the production. The couple starred in the 1994 Tony-nominated Broadway revival of Grease for several years, during which the two were married.

John Arthur Greene, most recently seen on Broadway in the hit musical Matilda, will star as Danny Zuko opposite the Sandy of Emily Behny, with Lauren Cipoletti as Rizzo and Michael Warrell as Kenickie.

The company will also feature Ryah Nixon as Marty, Lilly Tobin as Frenchy, Amy Toporek as Jan, Matthew Rodin as Doody, F. Michael Haynie as Roger and Casey Shane as Sonny with Kelsey Walston (Cha Cha DiGregorio), John T. Wolfe (Eugene Florczyk), Malcolm Armwood (Teen Angel), Carly Prentis Jones (Miss Lynch) and Adam Poole (Vince Fontaine).

Dance Captain Peyton Royal, Kinsland Howell, Randy Cain and Emily Thomas complete the ensemble. The Rydell High student body also features students from the North Carolina Theatre Conservatory: Leilani Carr, Joseph Gaitens, Carly Grissom, Joshua Keen, Victoria E. Marsh, Ahmad Ratliff, Jack Richardson and Cady van Venrooy. Set in 1959 at Rydell High School, Grease, according to press notes, "follows the lives of ten working-class teenagers as they follow their hearts and their dreams. While the musical score recreates the sounds of a bygone era, the story deals with issues that are still current – falling in love, fitting in, never giving up on your goals."

The production will also have musical direction by Edward G. Robinson, lighting design by Charlie Morrison, sound design by Eric Alexander Collins and Brian L. Hunt, hair design by Brittnye Batchelor, costumes by Kimberly Genna Bryant and properties by Aline Johnson. Bill Yates, Jr. will serve as the technical director.

Grease features book, music and lyrics by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey.
