Daniel’s Husband, Michael McKeever’s new play about one couple’s conflicting ideas about gay marriage, will officially open April 4. The Primary Stages production, staged at the Cherry Lane Theatre with direction by Joe Brancato, began preview performances March 22.

The story follows Mitch and Daniel, a perfect couple except for one thing—one wants to get married while the other does not. The play, according to Primary Stages, “takes an unflinching look at how we choose to Tie the Knot. Or not.“ The limited Off-Broadway engagement is scheduled to play through April 28.
