News Cato Replaces Norén as Director of Rattlestick's War; Cast Announced Rattlestick Playwrights Theater has announced the cast for its upcoming American premiere of Lars Norén's War.

Anders Cato (Miss Julie) will assume directorial duties from the previously announced Norén, who is "unable to travel due to health reasons," according to a release. Ulrika Josephsson — who serves as artistic director of Riks Drama, Riksteatern, Sweden's national theatre company, with Norén — will assist Cato.

Previews begin Jan. 31 at the company's Manhattan home. The show will open Feb. 11 for a run through March 2.

War, as show notes reveals, "is set in a year of ethnic cleansing. A mother and her two daughters, their father missing and presumed dead, think only of survival. When the father returns unexpectedly, they must confront a world gone completely wrong." Marita Lindholm Gochman provides the translation.

Featured in the cast will be Ngozi Anyanwu (Ghosts), Rosalyn Coleman (Radio Golf), Flora Diaz (Tooth and Claw), Laith Nakli ("Slippery Slope") and Alok Tewari (Betrothed).

The design team includes Van Santvoord (sets), Meghan Healey (costumes), Ed McCarthy (lights) and Eric Shim (sound). Kyle Gates serves as production stage manager. Tickets to War at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, 224 Waverly Place (between West 11 and Perry St.), are available through (212) 868-4444. For more information visit rattlestick.org.
