Joe Cacaci will direct the 7:30 PM reading of Ceasefire, which is billed as "the story of an American diplomat who tries to negotiate peace in an African republic while he simultaneously tries to negotiate the travails of his troubled marriage."
According to Berkshire Playwrights Lap co-artistic director Matthew Penn, "The play excites us because it is the story of a man who is trying to juggle both the public and the personal. In the process he discovers that his own government is playing a complex game of 'cat and mouse' intelligence. Espionage, marital challenge—what could be better?"
Holgate (1776) and Robinson (Joe Turner's Come and Gone) will be joined by Kofi Boakye, Mickey Solis and additional cast members to be announced.
There is no charge for admission, but a $10 donation is suggested. For reservations phone (413) 528-0100. The performance will take place at the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center, located at 14 Castle Street, Great Barrington, MA.
