So it’s Tuesday, which always feels like the first day of the week to me, since I’m off on Mondays, but since A Little Night Music is on hiatus until July 13, it’s not a typical day for me.

I’m up early to rehearse for my Feinstein’s concert, which is in just 5 days! My director is in Chicago today, so we’re working on the show via email and phone calls. Diana Basmajian is the incredible director of my show, I Happen to Like New York. Perhaps you saw her recent Off-Broadway hit, Limonade Tous les Jours? Or if you missed it, maybe you’ve saw Kate Baldwin’s show Let’s See What Happens or Lea Salonga’s The Journey So Far? Both of those were hers. So I’m in good hands, don’t ya think? On a sidenote, did you guys know that Lea Salonga is a huge pop star in the Phillippines? I had no idea!!

Speaking of concerts, I saw Adam Pascal in concert at Feinstein’s last night, and had an awesome time. He sang a lot of original music, a new arrangement of “One Song Glory” and some Sondheim, which, of course, I loved (his arrangement of “Maria” was stunning).

After rehearsal today, I’m going to spend some time with my newly adopted dog, Quincy, a two-year-old Jack Russell terrier. I grew up around animals- I’ve had two birds, three hamsters, and five dogs – so having a dog only seems natural. I’m a huge advocate for the ASPCA – so thanks to Bernadette Peters, I am one of the hosts of Broadway Barks on July 10th, along with Jan Maxwell, Kevin Chamberlin, Judy McLane, Katie Finneran, among others. If you aren’t familiar with Broadway Barks, it’s an annual dog and cat adopt-a-thon that helps raise awareness for New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies. I hope all of you can make it out on the 10th! It’s going to be an incredible event.

After spending time with Quincy, I’m off to the gym, dinner, and then to (hopefully) Sutton Foster’s concert at the Carlyle.
