We're happy to welcome guest celebrity blogger Tony Award nominee John Tartaglia, who is best known for his acclaimed performances in Avenue Q and Shrek the Musical. The Emmy-nominated performer is also the creator of Imaginocean, a new family musical adventure that will begin performances at New World Stages March 17. Tartaglia has been blogging all week; his final entry follows:
I'm writing today's blog as I sit over my sewing machine making sleeves for ImaginOcean. Yes, I can sew and no, you can't send me your clothes that need to be altered. We are still running the show, and I couldn't be happier with where things are. It's truly such a magical show.
Last night we spent the evening in the recording studio where we created a series of radio spots that will start to air very soon. They came out so great, and I can't wait till you hear them.
It might surprise everyone, but we actually have the weekend off. It will give our whole team a chance to catch up, rest and get ready for a huge week. I don't think it's completely sunk in yet that we open in previews in a matter of days but we do! WOW!
I wanted to thank everyone who's been reading the blog this week and for all the kind emails and messages. It means so much to everyone. In the meantime, please visit our website at www.imaginoceanthemusical.com so you can stay in the touch with us and also friend us on Facebook.
On behalf of everyone at ImaginOcean, sea you soon!
Johnny
