Sex and the City premiered on HBO 20 years ago June 6, 1998, going on to run for six seasons and two feature films. Based on Candace Bushnell's book, the series starred Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, and Kim Cattrall. And though Parker and Nixon started off on the stage, both Davis and Cattrall have theatre backgrounds, as well. (Did you know Cattrall's Broadway debut came opposite Ian McKellen?)
In honor of the quintessentially New York City show's anniversary, we look back at some of the stage highlights from its quartet of leading ladies.
