Celia Keenan-Bolger Announces Pregnancy and Opens Up About Becoming a Mother | Playbill

News Celia Keenan-Bolger Announces Pregnancy and Opens Up About Becoming a Mother Art is imitating life for three-time Tony Award nominee Celia Keenan-Bolger, who was last seen on the New York stage in Lincoln Center Theater's The Oldest Boy — a story about motherhood. The actress is expecting.

Keenan-Bolger, who is married to actor John Ellison Conlee, told Playbill.com via email, "The decision to have a baby was a complicated one for me. I feel like I've known my entire life that I wanted to be a mother. What I didn't account for was how much I love being an actor and a wife. I had a lot of anxiety that having a baby would mean sacrifice in both of those areas. Well, so far I've been able to work as an actor for 6 months of my pregnancy and I can't believe how romantic it is to plan for a baby with the person that you love. I know there will be unknowns and stresses and difficulties in my future, they're just different than the ones I worried about before I got pregnant. I think there's a lesson there."

Keenan-Bolger's former Spelling Bee co-star posted a picture with her and Conlee from the SAG Awards in which Keenan-Bolger is showing. Check it out below.
