Classic Arts News Cellist Antonio Meneses to Give Free Concert in New York March 23 Antonio Meneses, the cellist of the Beaux Arts Trio, will give a solo recital at the Americas Society in New York City on March 23.
Meneses will perform three of Bach's Cello Suites and give the American premieres of three works commissioned from contemporary Brazilian composers Marlos Nobre, Almeida Prado, and Marco Padilha.

Born in Brazil, Meneses won a gold medal at the Tchaikovsky Competition in 1982. A soloist with many orchestras, he has played chamber music with the Vermeer Quartet, Amati Quartet and Carmina Quartet. He joined the Beaux Arts Trio in 1998.
