Failure: A Love Story Matthew Denman

Center Theatre Group has announced the return of its second annual Block Party, a celebration of Los Angeles theatre that invites a selection of local artists and organizations to perform their work at the Kirk Douglas Theatre. Performances will take place March 29–May 20, 2018.

Block Party was created to foster conversations and collaboration between CTG and L.A.-based theatre artists and organizations.

Three previously produced plays will be selected through an open submission process available to 99-seat theatres (or under), operating within 50 miles of the Kirk Douglas Theatre. Traditional musicals are ineligible due to budget restraints and limited rehearsal time. Eligible productions must have opened between January 1, 2016–May 30, 2017.

Each of the selected productions will play a two-week run, with CTG providing salaries for the actors, stage manager, and key creative team members.

CTG will announce the three productions selected for Block Party 2018 in the coming months.
