Classic Arts News Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center Launches New Jersey Residency The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center has announced a new residency at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey, beginning this fall.
The partnership was inspired by Drew University's new $12 million concert hall, which has hosted the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra since its opening last year. It is the only structure in the state acoustically designed exclusively for music performances.

Local residents and students will be offered a three-concert series, lectures, and pre-concert interviews with musicians. CMS is also planning a comprehensive educational program for New Jersey students in grades three through six. Before beginning the residency, CMS will perform at Drew University as part of inaugural festivities for Dr. Richard Weisbuch, Drew's new president.

In a statement, CMS artistic directors David Finckel and Wu Han, said "From the moment we first saw the magnificent new concert hall at Drew University, we knew it could become an important home for chamber music." Finckel is a Madison native.

The concerts in the inaugural season of the residency will take place on November 8, February 21, 2007, and April 18, 2007.
