Uggams, Worley, Florence Lacey, K.T. Sullivan and Michael Valenti will perform, with special recollections by Champion and Lansbury. The event is hosted by Michael Kerker of ASCAP. Bea Arthur, Carol Channing, Harvey Fierstein, Manny Kladitis, Elaine Krauss, Stewart Lane, Lansbury, Arthur Laurents, Samuel (Biff) Liff, James M. Nederlander and Donald Pippin head an Honorary Gala Committee.

Herman, the Tony Award-winning songwriter and champion of the old-fashioned show tune, penned Hello, Dolly!; Mame; and La Cage aux Folles, as well as Milk and Honey, Dear World, Mack and Mabel, The Grand Tour and the revue Parade.

Herman's song catalogue includes "Before the Parade Passes By," "Put On Your Sunday Clothes," "It Only Takes a Moment," "If He Walked Into My Life," "We Need a Little Christmas," "Bosom Buddies," "I Won't Send Roses," "Time Heals Everything," "I Am What I Am," "The Best of Times," "Marianne," "Look Over There," "I Belong Here" and many more.

Encompass New Opera Theatre is a non-profit company specializing in developing new music theatre and contemporary opera, led by Nancy Rhodes, the artistic director.
