The Williamstown Theatre Festival's "Fridays @ 3" reading series will continue on July 28 with a presentation of a new play, the title of which rivals those of Tony Kushner and Arthur Kopit -- The Sad Misadventures of Patty, Patty's Dad, Patty's Friend Jen and a Bunch of Other People. Allison Moore wrote the drama, as well as its title. Emma Griffin will direct.

What's it all about? Well, selected phrases from the play description include "parallel universe," "random encounters" and "erratic misfirings of neurons."

The "Friday @ 3" series began with a June 30 reading of Neena Beber's new play Jump Slash Cut, starring Josh Hamilton and Jessica Hecht; and continued with Brooke Berman's Strange Kindness. Both Berman and Beber recently took part in a play lab at NYC's Soho Rep.

Future attractions include:
