Annapurna Pictures has released the trailer for its upcoming spring release, Booksmart, a new comedy directed by Olivia Wilde (1984 on Broadway, Tron).
The film centers on two high school friends, played by Kaitlyn Dever (Short Term 12) and stage alum Beanie Feldstein (Hello, Dolly!, Lady Bird), who spend an unforgettable summer together before heading off to college.
Booksmart, which marks Wilde's feature directorial debut, will be released May 24.
The film features a screenplay by Katie Silberman and a cast that also includes Noah Galvin and Molly Gordon—both currently performing Off-Broadway in the new musical Alice by Heart—Lisa Kudrow, Billie Lourd, and Jason Sudeikis, among others.
Will Ferrell and Adam McKay are executive producers.
