News Chenoweth Withdraws From Dames at "C" Concert; Kim Steps In Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth, who will return to Broadway later this season in the revival of Promises, Promises, has withdrawn from the Jan. 22 concert Dames at "C" in Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall.

Chenoweth is unable to perform at the 7:30 PM concert "due to contractual obligations with the television series 'Glee,'" according to a press statement.

Soprano Kathleen Kim — acclaimed for her performances this season as Olympia in the new production of Les Contes d’Hoffmann at the Metropolitan Opera — has agreed to step in for Chenoweth at the Jan. 22 concert.

The upcoming evening, presented by the Marilyn Horne Foundation, will also feature the talents of host Horne, Keri Alkema, soprano; Elaine Alvarez, soprano; Amanda Majeski, soprano; Jennifer Zetlan, soprano; Michael Baitzer, piano; Warren Jones, piano; Tamara Sanikidze, piano; and David Shimoni, piano.
