News   Cheyenne Jackson and Christiane Noll Cast in Ace Musical
All Shook Up's Cheyenne Jackson and Jekyll & Hyde's Christiane Noll will head the cast of Ace, a new musical that is part of the upcoming National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) Festival.

Jackson will star in the title role — as fighter pilot Ace — according to the actor's official website. The musical features book and lyrics by Robert Taylor and Richard Oberacker and music by Oberacker.

Ace, according to production notes, is set in 1952 Saint Louis when a "troubled 10 year-old boy named Billy Lucas receives the gift of a model airplane from his foster parents. The plane unlocks a door to a mystical world of dreams and visitations. With an 'Ace' fighter pilot as his guide, Billy embarks on a series of heroic and haunting World War I and World War II adventures, revealing his own true identity, the secrets of his past, and the key to his future. Mixing humor and heart, this musical chronicles the tragedy and transcendence of three generations of an American family."

Cheyenne Jackson, who heads the cast of All Shook Up, has appeared on Broadway in Aida and Thoroughly Modern Millie. He starred in the premiere cast of Altar Boyz, and his regional credits include West Side Story, The Most Happy Fella, Children of Eden, Hair, Carousel, Damn Yankees and Kismet. Jackson is a member of the Broadway Inspirational Voices.

Christiane Noll, who was part of the recent out-of-town tryout of The Mambo Kings, made her Broadway debut as Emma Carew in Frank Wildhorn's Jekyll & Hyde. She later joined the Broadway company of It Ain't Nothin' But the Blues and starred in the City Center Encores! production of Out of This World. Noll appeared in the national tours of Grease!, Miss Saigon and City of Angels, and she has recorded three solo albums: "Christiane Noll — A Broadway Love Story" (Varese Sarabande Records), "Live at the Westbank Café," (Car-Jam Records) and "The Ira Gershwin Album" (Fynsworth Alley).

The 17th Annual Festival of New Musicals will be held in Manhattan at Dodger Stages, 340 W. 50th Street on Sept. 25 and 26 for an invited audience of NAMT members and theatre producers. Visit for more information.
