News Cheyenne Jackson Joins Cast of Ryan Murphy's HBO Series "Open" Cheyenne Jackson has joined the cast of "Glee" and "American Horror Story" creator Ryan Murphy's new HBO series "Open," according to Deadline.com.

Jackson (Finian's Rainbow, Xanadu, "Behind the Candelabra," "United 93") will be a series regular in a role Murphy and co-writer Lauren Gussis have written for him. The series is a provocative exploration of sexuality and relationships. Deadline.com reports that Jackson will play a character with a meth addiction.

Also featured in the series will be Michelle Monaghan, Scott Speedman, Wes Bentley, Anna Torv and Jennifer Jason Leigh.

"Open" will begin filming in February 2014.

Jackson will also star in the New York City Center Encores! production of Frank Loesser’s The Most Happy Fella in April 2014. He's also been tapped for the new indie film musical "The Song."
