News Chicago-Area Northlight Theatre Snags [title of show] for Spring 2012 The Broadway musical [title of show], about a foursome of pals (and a pianist) making a new musical, has been added to the 2011-12 season of Northlight Theatre in Skokie, IL.

The wickedly comic musical about creative people and their passion for all things musical has music and lyrics by Jeff Bowen and book by Tony Award nominee Hunter Bell. The show was a favorite in the New York Musical Theatre Festival, got an Off-Broadway run and then moved to Broadway, where it had a brief life. The resident production will play the suburban Chicago Northlight May 4-June 10, 2012, opening May 11, 2012.

Artistic director BJ Jones and executive director Timothy J. Evans previously revealed that the 2011-12 slate will also include Snapshots, the latest version of a relationships-minded musical that borrows songs from the catalog of composer-lyricist Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell, Pippin); E. Faye Butler starring in Frank Higgins' Black Pearl Sings; Alan Ayckbourn's Season's Greetings (directed by Jones); and Jeffrey Hatcher's Ten Chimneys (directed by Jones), a play about Broadway legends Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne.
