News Chicago Jeff Awards Presented Nov. 4; Jungle Book, Jason Danieley, André De Shields, Melissa Van Der Schyff, Rajiv Joseph Among Nominees The 45th Annual Jeff Awards, honoring excellence in Chicago-area theatre, are presented Nov. 4. The Chicago Shakespeare Theater production of Sunday in the Park With George starring Jason Danieley, the premiere of Rajiv Joseph's The Lake Effect, as well as Mary Zimmerman's revival of Metamorphoses and her new production of Disney's The Jungle Book are among the nominated productions.

The Jeff Equity Award nominations recognize productions that opened between Aug. 1, 2012, and July 31, 2013. The 45th Annual Jeff Awards ceremony is presented at the Drury Lane Oakbrook. Musical numbers featuring cast members from nominated musicals and video segments from nominated plays highlight the ceremony.

The Chicago Shakespeare Theater and its production of Sunday in the Park With George led with the most nominations, with Sunday in the Park accounting for 9 of the company's 19 nominations. The five theatres leading with the most multiple nominations include the Marriott Theatre (13), the Court Theater (12), the Porchlight Music Theatre (12) and the Steppenwolf Theatre Company (11).
