News Chicago Shakespeare Theatre Casts Henry IV; Welcomes French and Italian Artists Chicago Shakespeare Theatre has cast its upcoming production of Henry IV, Parts 1 and 2, which will travel to England's Royal Shakespeare Company.

 The cast will include Dale Bensen, Kate Fry, Kevin Gudahl, Timothy Edward Kane, Dan Kenney, Sean Allan Krill, Ross Lehman, David Lively, Richard Manera, Mike Nussbaum, John Reeger, Matt Schwader, Robert Scogin, Lusia Strus, Greg Vinkler (as Falstaff), Jay Whittaker and Bruce A. Young. Barbara Gaines directs.

The production will play Chicago Shakespeare's Courtyard Theater May 10-June 18, 2006, and then go to the Swan Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon, July 6-15, 2006.

  In other news, CTS announced it would play host to two European troupes. First to arrive, Nov. 16-19, will be France's James Thiérrée and his artistic collaborators with Bright Abyss. Soon after, Nov. 22-27, is Carlo Goldoni's classic tale of Arlecchino, Servant of Two Masters, in a production originally directed by Piccolo Teatro di Milano's founder, Georgio Strehler.

Also, CST's "2006 World Stage" will bring the Russian acting company, The Chekhov International Festival, which will, in association with Cheek by Jowl, perform Twelfth Night. The all-male cast will be directed by Declan Donnellan with designs by Nick Ormerod. Dates are Nov. 22-Dec. 3, 2006.
