What is a Givenik? Give·nik (n.) 1. a person whose passion for charity is matched only by his/her passion for all things Broadway; 2. a user of givenik.com.

Through Givenik.com, theatregoers can purchase discount, full-price and premium tickets to dozens of Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, as well as receive group rates to all shows. For every purchase, Givenik donates five percent of the ticket price to the charity of the ticket-buyer’s choice.

In celebration of becoming the latest Ambassador, the Tony Award-winning musical Chicago and Givenik.com will present a special performance and post-show reception to benefit DioGuardi's favorite charities Oct. 11 at the Ambassador Theatre, with a meet-and-greet at E&E Grill.

DioGuardi will show her support for Phoenix House, Columbus Citizens Foundation, Malaria No More, and Sister Domingas and Friends Foundation.

Here, DioGuardi talks about Phoenix House, one of the nation’s leading non-profits dedicated to leading individuals, families and communities affected by addiction from disrupted to productive lives.
