CHICAGO -- Buddy...The Buddy Holly Story, a commercial production that has been playing for more than 20 weeks at the Apollo Theater in Lincoln Park, will close April 12, two weeks later than its originally posted Mar. 29 closing date. Based on the hit San Diego Repertory Theatre production, Buddy chronicles the rock 'n' roll pioneer's rapid rise and sudden death following a 1959 winter dance concert in Clear Lake, Iowa. As a sort of blast from the past, the original Clear Lake emcee Bob Hale will appear in the show and sign autographs on Mar. 26.
