Drury Lane Theatre has announced the complete lineup of its 2017-18 season, which will open with Chicago. The company has attained the exclusive rights to “revitalize” the sensational mega-hit with “home town authenticity.”

Chicago, featuring a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse with music by John Kander and lyrics by Ebb, will run March 30-June 11, 2017. Opening night is set for April 6, 2017.

Drury Lane’s artistic director William Osetek and choreographer Jane Lanier, the Tony-nominated student of Bob Fosse, will give a nod to the iconic Fosse flavor in this new take.

The season will also include D.L. Coburn’s The Gin Game, starring John Reeger and Paula Scrofano (June 22-August 22, 2017); the regional premiere of Rock of Ages, featuring a book by Chris D’Arienzo and arrangements and orchestrations by Ethan Popp (August 24-October 15, 2017); 42nd Street, with music by Harry Warren, lyrics by Al Dubin and a book by Michael Stewart and Mark Bramble (October 26-December 21, 2017); and Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (January 18-March 25, 2018).
