Lifeline Theatre's Kidseries will again present the Douglas Wood-James Sie musical adaption of Deborah and James Howe's best-seller, Bunnicula Jan. 23-March 21 at the Lifeline Theatre in Chicago.

Written in 1979, "Bunnicula" spawned eight sequels with its creepy-comic look at a family who adopts an abandoned rabbit who mysteriously appears next to them in a movie theatre. The first family pets, Chester the cat and Harold the dog, suspect the sinister truth -- that the new bunny is a vegetable vampire!

Woods has composed several Lifeline shows including The Story of Ferdinand, The Cricket in Times Square and Mr. Popper's Penquins. Sie adapted Ae Wrinkle in Time and The Cricket in Times Square.

Eric Lane Barnes directs Jim Grote as Harold, Eddie Schumacher as Pete, Kathryn Gallagher as Mom Monroe, Lynn Roof as Chester and Chester Munro as Dad Monroe.

Tickets for Bunnicula are $7 and can be ordered by calling the Lifeline box office at (773) 761-4477. --By Christine Ehren
