Michael C. Hall, the current Billy Flynn of Broadway's Chicago, will open the NASDAQ Stock Market on Aug. 22 at 9:30 AM ET. Hall, who recently received an Emmy nomination for his role as David Fisher in the HBO series "Six Feet Under," will join NASDAQ host Ted Coburn, Senior Vice President, The NASDAQ Stock Market, Inc. to preside over the daily Market Open.

The actor-singer, last on Broadway as the Emcee in Cabaret, will stay with the Broadway production of Chicago through Sept. 10, when he will return to California to begin shooting the new season of "Six Feet Under," the hour-long Sunday drama about a dysfunctional family that runs a struggling funeral parlor. Hall's other New York theatrical credits include Macbeth, Cymbeline, Timon of Athens, The English Teachers and Corpus Christi.

Bob Fosse, John Kander and Fred Ebb's Chicago, presented by Barry and Fran Weissler, plays the Shubert Theatre, 225 W. 44th Street. It won the Tony for Best Revival of a Musical in 1997 as well as awards for actors Bebe Neuwirth and James Naughton, director Walter Bobbie, lighting designer Ken Billington and choreographer Ann Reinking.
