"What You Find in a Bottle" was written in its entirety by Kennedy and can be categorized as singer/songwriter/folk with a hint of bluegrass. She takes cues from artists such as Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell and Allison Krauss as well as Canadian folk music singers like Stan Rogers and Loreena McKennitt.

"'What You Find In A Bottle' is the culmination of 10 years of songwriting," Kennedy added. "I am inspired by songwriters who aren't afraid to write from a genuine and vulnerable place. Their music is the kind that touches me and that is why I try to write from a place of honesty and openness."

Kennedy has also been seen on Broadway in Jesus Christ Superstar.
