The 3 PM concert, entitled Music That Makes Us Dance, will kick off the Orchestra's 22nd season and will be presented at the Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township. The Orchestra will perform Aaron Copland's ballet suite "Appalachian Spring" and will also offer a tribute to the American Songbook. Singer-actress Davi will be the afternoon's guest vocalist. About the upcoming concert Davi said in a statement, "I am thrilled to be a part of Lyrica's opening concert and to be performing music dearest to my heart: the classic Broadway songbook."
Lyrica's new artistic director, Adam Waite, will conduct the orchestra.
