News Chris and Gavin's Broadway Campaign '08 to Play the Beechman Chris and Gavin's Broadway Campaign '08, described as an "original cabaret about politics, as seen by two actors trying to achieve the Broadway dream," will be presented at the Laurie Beechman Theatre Dec. 10.

The 9:30 PM performance features the talents of Christopher Sloan, seen Off-Broadway in The Play About The Naked Guy and as The Emcee in the national tour of Cabaret, and Gavin Esham, whose theatre credits include Naked Boys Singing and Jesus Christ Superstar. Sloan and Esham, according to press notes, "take the current issues in politics and use them to propel their own desperate attempts to make it on The Great White Way. Broadway may have counted these Mavericks out, but they're not going down without a fight. How far will they go? You'll just have to come and find out!"

The Laurie Beechman Theater is located within The West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd Street, just west of Ninth Avenue. There is a $10 cover charge and a $15 food/drink minimum. No reservations are needed, although they can be made by calling (212) 695-6909.
