Directed by Tony Speciale, the classic comedy-fantasy will begin performances March 28 and play a limited engagement through May 6 at CSC's Off-Broadway home on 13th Street.

Neuwirth (The Addams Family, Chicago, Sweet Charity, Damn Yankees) will play the role of Titania, queen of the fairies, and Ricci will play Hermia. Additional casting will be announced early in the new year.

Ricci made her Broadway debut last season in Donald Margulies' Tony-nominated Time Stands Still.

Midsummer tickets will go on sale to the general public Feb. 6. Ricci will co-star in Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod's film adaptation of Guy de Maupassant's short story "Bel Ami" opposite Robert Pattinson, Kristin Scott Thomas and Uma Thurman in 2012.
