The production will be staged by former Eugene O'Neill Theater Center Cabaret and Performance Conference artistic director Michael Bush. Featuring music direction by Don Rebic, Heartbreaker will run June 26-July 3. The production will feature music by songwriter and author Meyer, including "I Want to Hate Myself in the Morning," which Garland performed.

The creative team is exploring a future life for Heartbreaker: Two Months with Judy Garland beyond the Adirondack Theatre Festival premiere.

Here's how it's billed: "In 1968, when he was 26, songwriter John Meyer met Judy Garland. The next two months were an emotional roller-coaster, but his life was changed forever. Inspired by his acclaimed memoir, Meyer brings to the stage the true story of his romance with a star whose flame was dying and how he attempts to rescue her from her self-destructive demons. From a bar on the Upper Eastside to living with Garland in his childhood bedroom at his parent's home to a London night club and many incredible adventures in between, Meyer's whirlwind tale is an authentic portrayal written by the man who lived it."

The cast will also feature Doug Trapp and Ian Lowe. Designers include James Noone (set design), Kevin Adams (lighting design) and Karen Ledger (costume design).

Andreas earned Tony Award nominations for On Your Toes and Oklahoma! She also appeared on Broadway in The Scarlet Pimpernel, La Cage aux Folles, My Fair Lady and Angel Street. She starred as Margaret in the national tour of The Light in the Piazza. Founded in 1995, Adirondack Theatre Festival is committed to producing new and contemporary works of theatre.
