Christine Ebersole, last seen on Broadway in War Paint, will take the Boston stage for one night only in January. The two-time Tony Award winner is set to headline the Huntington Theatre Company’s 2019 return of the “Broadway @ the Huntington” series, following this year’s inaugural presentation with Chita Rivera.
Joining her for the January 26 evening at the Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts will be Playbill and Sirius/XM favorite Seth Rudetsky as music director. Performances will take place at 5 and 8 PM.
The show, produced by Mark Cortale Productions, will blend behind-the-scenes anecdotes with various tunes from Ebersole’s career, including works by Stephen Sondheim, Lerner and Loewe, and Scott Frankel.
Ebersole earned Tony Awards for her performances in 42nd Street and Grey Gardens. Her additional stage credits include On the Twentieth Century, Oklahoma!, Camelot, The Best Man, Blithe Spirit, and a Tony-nominated turn in Dinner at Eight.
Tickets, ranging from $25–$175, are available at HuntingtonTheatre.org.
