PlayBlog Christine Ebersole Has a Date With "Wicked" Creator Grey Gardens and 42nd Street Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole will appear in the 7 PM Oct. 27 "Selected Shorts" evening called Fairy Tales: Classic and Reimagined hosted by Gregory Maguire, the author of "Wicked."

The presentation in the popular Manhattan readers theatre series will also feature stage and screen star Lili Taylor ("Six Feet Under") and Sonia Manzano (of "Sesame Street") performing the stories of Joyce Carol Oates, Kim Addonizio, Ilya Kaminsky and Jonathon Keats. (The stories are pulled from the new collection "My Mother She Killed Me, My Father He Ate Me," edited by Kate Bernheimer.)

"These varied modern spins on classic fairy tales are set in a loft in Manhattan, a futuristic alternate universe, and enchanted haunting worlds out of time," according to Symphony Space notes.
