The presentation in the popular Manhattan readers theatre series will also feature stage and screen star Lili Taylor ("Six Feet Under") and Sonia Manzano (of "Sesame Street") performing the stories of Joyce Carol Oates, Kim Addonizio, Ilya Kaminsky and Jonathon Keats. (The stories are pulled from the new collection "My Mother She Killed Me, My Father He Ate Me," edited by Kate Bernheimer.)
"These varied modern spins on classic fairy tales are set in a loft in Manhattan, a futuristic alternate universe, and enchanted haunting worlds out of time," according to Symphony Space notes.
Symphony Space is at 2537 Broadway at 95th Street. Tickets are $27; $15 for 30 and under. For more information, call (212) 864-5400 or visit symphonyspace.org.
