August marks the end of the business year for Massachusetts' summer- oriented Williamstown Theatre Festival, so why shouldn't the theatre celebrate Christmas at the end of the season?

This year, the holiday festivities are courtesy of translator Maria Tucci (also known as an actress) and director Dylan Baker (also known as an actor). Together, they are responsible for Christmas in Naples, the Eduardo de Filippo comedy which will play the Williamstown Theatre Festival Aug. 9-20 on the Nikos Stage.

Tucci has also translated de Filippo's Filumena, in which she performed at the Blue Light Theatre Company in NYC a few seasons back. The lesser-known Christmas takes place over the holidays at the Cupiello home, where secrets and foibles are dramatically revealed.

Baker, a neophyte director, piloted the successful Drama Dept. staging of George Kelly's The Torchbearers. David Garrison, who appeared in the Kelly play, also takes a role here, along with Susan Cella, Ben Hammer, Mark Margolis, Amy Pietz ("Caroline in the City"), Danny Pino and Rocco Sisto (Turn of the Screw).
