The film, which is currently shooting in Los Angeles, stars Mark Feuerstein, Stanley Tucci, Marcia Gay Harden and Taye Diggs.
Directed by Sam Friedlander, "Larry Gaye" features a screenplay by Mike Sikowitz; Ted Kroeber and Michael Roiff are producing.
The comedy, according to press notes, is about an "airline that tries to save money by eliminating flight attendants." Feuerstein plays the title character, "a rebellious flight attendant who learns he has a son and turns the loss of his job into the chance to be a good father." Fitzgerald is cast as a go-getter publishing company executive who wants to publish a book about Gaye.
Fitzgerald was Tony-nominated for his performances in Young Frankenstein and Finian's Rainbow and was featured opposite Al Pacino in The Merchant of Venice.
