The singing actor succeeds six-time Emmy Award nominee Jeffrey Tambor ("Arrested Development," "The Larry Sanders Show"), who withdrew from the production Feb. 24 following 12 performances. At the time producers released a statement, which read, "Jeffrey Tambor was experiencing complications from recent hip surgery and the pain and the challenge of performing in a musical eight times a week proved to be too physically demanding. We respect his talent enormously and regretfully accept his withdrawal from the production."

Chris Hoch, who regularly plays the role of Francis and understudies the role of Georges, has played Georges opposite Tony winner Harvey Fierstein since the Feb. 25 performance.

Tambor and Fierstein began performances Feb. 15 at the Longacre Theatre. Five-time Emmy Award winner Kelsey Grammer and 2010 Tony Award winner Douglas Hodge played their final performance together Feb. 13.

A two-time Tony Award nominee for his performances in Shrek and Spamalot, Christopher Sieber's Broadway credits also include Thoroughly Modern Millie, Into the Woods, Beauty and the Beast, Triumph of Love and A Christmas Carol. His other New York stage credits include Off-Broadway's The Kid, Avow and The Boys in the Band. His television and film credits include "Morning Glory," "Pushing Daisies," "Johnny and the Sprites," "See You in September," "It's All Relative," "Two of a Kind," "Sex and the City," "Ed," "Guiding Light," "All My Children" and "Another World."

La Cage aux Folles, about a gay couple who run a St. Tropez drag club, features music and lyrics by Jerry Herman and book by Fierstein, based on the play by Jean Poiret. This production is choreographed by Lynne Page and directed by Terry Johnson, who won a 2010 Tony Award for his direction. It won the 2010 Best Revival (Musical) Tony.
