Casting has been announced for the Aspen Music Festival and School and Theatre Aspen's concert production of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II's The Sound of Music, which will be presented July 25–26 at 7:30 PM in Aspen's Benedict Music Tent.

Directed by Marc Bruni (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), the evenings will have music direction by conductor Andy Einhorn (Hello, Dolly!), choreography by two-time Tony nominee Denis Jones (Tootsie), and a symphony orchestra comprising students from the Aspen Music Festival and School.

These artists will be joined by local youth performers, Theatre Aspen summer season company members, and singers from the Aspen Opera Theater and VocalARTS program of the Aspen Music Festival and School: Sydney Borchers, Megan Brilleslyper, Katharine Burns, Amelia Burshe, Eleanor Carroll, Valérie Filloux, Kayleigh Flynn, Chance Friedman, Claire Griffin, Peyton Herzog, Julia Holoman, Grace Lerew, Emma McAlister, Nina Mutalifu, James Nottingham, Sierra Quint, Jessica Reese, Anna Riley, Logan Saad, Nijel Smith, Harry Spitteler, and Gabrielle Turgeon.

The Sound of Music features music by Rodgers, lyrics by Hammerstein II, and a book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse, suggested by Maria Augusta Trapp's The Trapp Family Singers. Corby Kummer penned the concert adaptation.

The evening is presented by special arrangement with The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization, a Concord company.
